Yael Zelas
Yael commenced her legal career in 2003 after serving in the Israeli Defence Force as a Commander and Sergeant.
Yael has practiced law in both Australia and Israel with a niche practice area of bio-technology, IP law and commercialisation. In Israel she represented the commercial arms of various hospitals and universities. Since 2014 Yael has been the in-house legal counsel at St Vincent’s Health Australia, representing the NSW entities and is heavily involved in the research and commercialisation of IP developed at St Vincent’s. She also sits on the St Vincent’s IP Committee.
Yael is a mum of 2 very active boys and spends much time on the sidelines watching them play various sports.
