Einstein Suppers by Technion Australia
A Supper to Feed Your Mind
‘Einstein Suppers – Feed Your Mind’ is Technion Australia’s flagship supper lecture series, offering the community a rare opportunity to engage with some of the world’s leading minds in science, medicine, engineering, and technology.
This thought-provoking program invites participants to hear from top leaders in these fields in an intimate setting designed to spark meaningful conversations. Named in tribute to Albert Einstein, who played a pivotal role in founding and supporting the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, the series reflects his enduring legacy of curiosity, innovation, and intellectual exchange.
Einstein played a big role in the founding of the Technion in 1924, and throughout his life played a pivotal role in its development and creative approach to research and problem solving. During his only visit to the Land of Israel on February 11, 1923, Einstein toured the workshops of what was then called the Technikum.
After returning to Germany, he established the first ‘Friends of the Technion Association,’ serving as its chairman.
By naming these suppers after Einstein we hope to pay tribute to himself, the institution he inspired, and the idea of having societies around the world that support the Technion.
Since its launch in 2008 with Nobel Laureate Professor Aaron Ciechanover, Einstein Suppers have become a space where ideas flourish, questions are encouraged, and the future of science and society is explored over supper.
