The Technion joins the prestigious EuroTech Universities Alliance, in which the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the Polytechnic Institute of Paris, the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) are partners. EuroTech Universities Alliance is a strategic partnership between leading universities for science and technology, committed to excellence in research and the joint development of solutions to society’s challenges. Eurotech encourages collaborations in the fields of education, research, and innovation and attracts the necessary leading talent from all over the world to drive modernization and excellence, and impact society. In this framework, in 2020 the Technion was a partner in an international initiative, EuroTeQ Engineering University, whose purpose is to shape the future of engineering education in Europe, and in 2021 students from the Technion participated in BME-Hack – a hackathon in biomedical engineering. In 2023 Eurotech awarded the “Future Awards” for the first time to promising researchers at the beginning of their careers and the winner of the first place was Dr. Charlotte Vogt, a faculty member in the Schulich Faculty of Chemistry and a member of the Grand Energy Program at the Technion.
