T3 – Technion Technology Transfer is the business development unit of the Technion, which operates within the Technion Research & Development Foundation and is responsible for the commercialization of the intellectual property originating from the Technion while protecting it. The unit is responsible for examining new ideas and technologies and their implementation as well as for registering and maintaining patents. During its years of operation, the company has registered scores of patents, many of which were approved in the USA, which made the Technion a leading university in registering patents both in Israel and in Europe. In February 2023, the Technion ranked first in Europe for registered patents in the USA!
