Prof. Adam Mazor receives the Israel Prize in Architecture

The Israel Prize was awarded to Prof. Adam Mazor for changing the perception of Israel’s spatial planning and design as reflected in various national and urban outline plans, including the “Israel 2020” plan. His concept emphasizes the preservation of cities’ green lungs and open spaces and encourages concentrated high-density construction in the city centers. Prof. Mazor developed mathematical models for urban planning. As part of his work at the Technion, he educated many generations of architects and urban planners.
