The “pre-Technion” course, or as it is more popularly called – “summer camp,” is a course that helps new students close gaps in their knowledge of mathematics before the start of the school year and arrive ready for college classes. The course was launched for the first time in October 2021, in a joint initiative of Undergraduate Studies and Dr. Aviv Censor from the Faculty of Mathematics, with the understanding that many of the students starting at the Technion need to fill in some basic mathematics required in the academic world. The experience accumulated at the Technion shows that good preparation greatly improves integration into studies and the students’ achievements in the future.
