The Technion presents the Technion DRIVE Accelerator, a nine-month premium framework for ventures before initial investment and after initial investment (Pre-Seed, Seed). The framework, in which the Technion made an initial investment of 2.5 million dollars, is intended for projects of faculty members, students and graduates of the Technion in the fields of digital health, augmented reality, fintech, ICT, big data, robotics, autonomous vehicles and materials. In 2018 Drive completed a fundraising round of 7 million dollars. The largest investor in the accelerator is the municipality of Haifa, along with the Vietnamese company Big Capital JSC, which decided to invest in the accelerator following a visit by its representatives to the Technion laboratories.
