Dr. Aviv Censor has recorded about ten courses in the fields of calculus and algebra. His recorded lectures are used not only by students at the Technion, but by students at all institutions of higher education in Israel and even by high school students. The courses were filmed without directing and editing in front of students in a real classroom, with Dr. Censor using only a marker and a whiteboard – yet the videos have millions of views. In 2020, the Technion began an upgraded production of courses led by Censor, in studios with the latest photography and production technologies. On the IL Campus site of the National Digital Learning Initiative there are twelve pre-academic online courses called “Simply Math” that are guided by Censor. As part of a joint project with the Ministry of Education, hundreds of 5-unit high school math classes across the country are being taught in hybrid fashion using the “Simply Math” videos.
